1. The TNT Prayer Call Has Returned

The TNT Prayer Call has returned! Join Pastor Tony Love each Tuesday and Thursday evening at 10:00 p.m. for 10 minutes of prayer. All are welcome, so invite your family, friends, and neighbors to participate. The TNT Prayer Call number is (617) 793-8008. No access code is needed.

2. Prostate Cancer Education

Would you like to learn more about prostate cancer and available community resources and support? Join the Faith-Based Cancer Education Consortium (FCEC) and Hope Connections for Cancer Support for an informative Zoom presentation on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Featured speaker Dr. James Dula will share information on cancer-related topics. This event is open to everyone. Registration information is available in the eBlast. For more information, contact Min. Deborah Johnson.

3.      Men’s Day 2026

St. Paul UMC will celebrate Men’s Day 2026 on Sunday, September 20, during our 10:30 a.m. worship experience. Our guest preacher will be Stellar Award-winning artist, Dove Award nominee, and 2025 Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee Rev. Stephen A. Hurd, of First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

We will also have an opportunity for sacrificial giving in support of St. Paul’s ministry and mission. Men are asked to give $100, and women are asked to give $50.

A Men’s Day Choir will be featured, and all men are invited to lend their voices! Men’s Day Choir Rehearsals are being held Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 19 at 11:00 a.m.

4.      Save the Date: We’ve Been Invited—and We’re Going!

The entire St. Paul UMC family is invited to worship with the Christ United Methodist Church family as they celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Pastor Tony Love will bring the Homecoming message, and the St. Paul Music Ministry will bless us through song. As a reminder, there will be no Worship Service at St. Paul on this date.

5. Annual Church Conference

On Saturday, October 24th, at 9 AM, St. Paul UMC will gather with other area churches of our Hub for our annual Church Conference. We will meet at Oxon Hill United Methodist Church, located at 6400 Livingston Rd, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Reports related to the Annual Conference are due to the church administrator no later than Tuesday September 22, 2026. All church members are welcome to attend the church conference.  There will be a special Unified Board Meeting on Tuesday September 29, 2026 at 7:00 pm to review items Church Conference reports.
