St. Paul at Oxon Hill Leadership

St. Paul at Oxon Hill is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team.

Dr. Daryl L. Williams

Senior Pastor

Rev. Dr. Daryl L. Williams is the Senior Pastor of the St. Paul United Methodist Church of Oxon Hill Maryland (St. Paul at Oxon Hill). Under his dynamic leadership St. Paul at Oxon Hill has become one of the fastest growing United Methodist Churches in its region. Pastor Williams has a passion for preaching and teaching the Bible to reach the lost, edify believers and build a church that honors God, is Holy Spirit led and builds disciples of Jesus Christ. Under Dr. Williams’ leadership, over two hundred people have made St. Paul at Oxon Hill their church home, new ministries have launched, the facility has had continual updates, and the future is bright.

Beyond the local church, Dr. Williams has served as an investment banker with PaineWebber Inc., Senior Assistant to the Economic Development Administrator of the City of New Haven Connecticut, a corporate relations officer, for the University of Missouri and Executive Director of the Baltimore Washington Conference United Methodist Foundation. Dr. Williams now serves in various roles for the Baltimore Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. He serves as Conference Statistician, Vice Chair of the Council on Finance and Administration, and Chair of the Board of Investments. One of Dr. Williams’ greatest joys is his work in the Williams Financial Boot Camp where he works with individuals and families to get their financial house in order and live financially free.

Dr. Williams is a graduate of Morehouse College, Yale Divinity School, and has an earned doctorate from the Wesley Theological Seminary of Washington DC. His background in finance and fundraising has allowed Dr. Williams to be a blessing to the Church by working to tackle some of the most important and complex stewardship, fundraising and financial issues faced today. Pastor Williams lives by these words found in the Gospel of Luke chapter 4, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Dr. Williams is happily married to the former Erin N. McCoy, and they are the proud parents of one son, Ryan. They make their home in the Washington DC area.
